The Powerful All-round Wide-Angle Lens

  • Superior wide-angle performance combined with extreme close-up potential: a MOD (minimum object distance) of only 6 cm from the front element!
  • Impressive sharpness; clearly beyond even the best color films available today.
  • Long-life all-metal barrel of very high precision.

The Distagon T* 2.8/25 is a lens with pronounced wide-angle characteristics. It excels in dynamic architecture, landscape, and travel photography. Its sharpness goes far beyond any current color film. The minimum object distance of just two inches from the front element enables unique wide-angle close-ups.

Carl Zeiss 25mm f/2.8 Distagon T* 2.8/25 User Reviews

9.0/10 average of 1 review(s) Build Quality 10.0/10 Image Quality 9.0/10

Stellar performance at infinity, 0.17 m minimum focusing distance
Strong field curvature at close focusing range

If you shoot landscapes or anything beyond 1.5m this is a must have lens. Sharpness is superlative down to the last corner pixel even wide open. Suffers from field curvature at close range which will cause blurry corners.
